1-Due to some family obligations, India captain Rohit Sharma will miss the first One-Day International match against Australia on March 17 in his birthplace of Mumbai, BCCI honorary secretary Jay Shah announced on Sunday.

2-Hardik Pandya, who captained India in the most recent T20-I series against New Zealand, will skipper the ODI team in place of Rohit, according to a statement issued by Shah on Sunday.

3-The third and fourth one-day internationals (ODIs) in the series between Australia and India will be held in Chennai (March 2) and Visakhapatnam (March 19).

4-On Sunday, the national selectors decided to keep K.L. Rahul, the controversial opener for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series, for the third and fourth Test matches. They also decided to keep middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer, who was included for the Delhi Test after returning from an injury, and Jaydev Unadkat, who was released before the second Test to represent Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy final.

5-The third Test between India and Australia will take place in Indore’s Holkar Stadium from March 1–5.

6- India defeated Australia handily in the second Test of their four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy series on Sunday in New Delhi, ending South Africa’s hopes of making it to the World Test Championships final.

7-Indian captain Rohit Sharma gave a hint that the team might stick with the right-handed opener as pressure mounted on K.L. Rahul due to his recent slump, which included the second Test at New Delhi. 10-Australia is optimistic that vice-captain Alyssa Healy will be able to play in Thursday’s nail-biting ICC Women’s T20 World Cup semifinal.

  • Healy missed Australia’s decisive six-wicket win over South Africa on Saturday due to a quad injury, although team management claimed it was just minor.

11- Former India opener Gautam Gambhir, who is presently a member of the Border-Gavaskar Commentary panel, admitted on Sunday that Rohit Sharma was the only captain in the Indian Premier League who consistently caused him the most trouble (IPL).

14-India defeated Australia by six wickets in the second Test within three days at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday to take a 2-0 lead in the four-match series and retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja had his best bowling figures in an innings in Test cricket (7/42) during the match.

15-In their second game of the tour, the Indian junior women’s hockey team defeated the South African hosts 8-0.
