1-Sriharikota (Andhra Pradesh): On Friday morning, an earth observation satellite (EOS-07) weighing 156.3 kg was launched by India’s brand-new rocket Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV-D2).

2-On Friday, the suspects in the four-year-old high-profile murder of the former minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, will be brought before the CBI Special Court in Hyderabad.

  • The defendants will appear in court for the first time after the case was moved from Kadapa to Hyderabad by the Supreme Court.
  • A month before the 2019 general elections, Vivekananda Reddy, the paternal uncle of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, was found inexplicably slain at his home in Pulivendula, Kadapa district.

3-On March 13, there will be biannual elections for the 15 seats on the legislative councils of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

  • The schedule for the 13 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council seats and the two Telangana Legislative Council seats was released by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday.
  • In Andhra Pradesh, elections will be held for three graduates’, two teachers’, and eight local government constituencies. Additionally, Telangana will hold elections for one local government and one teachers’ seat.

4-On Thursday, Kona Srikar Bharat received congratulations from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for playing his first Test match.

  • The first Test match, which got off Thursday in Nagpur, saw the wicketkeeper batsman make his international debut against Australia.

5- Ishan Kishan was passed over for the first Test of the four-match Border Gavaskar series in favour of Bharat, a Visakhapatnam native. Cheteshwar Pujara, a veteran batsman for India, presented the 29-year-old with a test cap during the team’s pre-toss meeting at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur.

6-On Thursday, at least seven workers died from suffocation while cleaning a tanker at an oil factory in the Kakinada region of Andhra Pradesh.

  • The event took place at the Ambati Subbanna oil factory’s premises in G. Ragampeta, Peddapuram mandal, district.

7- In a heartbreaking occurrence in Andhra Pradesh’s Vizianagaram district, an Odia man carried the lifeless body of his wife on his shoulder for more than four kilometres before a few of local police officers arrived to his rescue.

8 – On Wednesday, the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet approved the establishment of the National Law University in the state.

  • The institution, which will be built on a 50-acre campus in Kurnool, will be the second of its sort in the nation.

9-The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet also decided to create the Andhra Pradesh Medical Services Recruitment Board to fill open state, zonal, and district level positions in the Health, Medical, and Family Welfare Department, excluding those covered by the APPSC. They also decided to spend Rs 34.48 crore to upgrade the 50-bed Community Health Centre at Nandigama in the NTR district to a 100-bed Area Hospital.

10-When a police officer attempted to grab a microphone from Telugu Desam Party (TDP) General Secretary Nara Lokesh during his padyatra in Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district, claiming the restriction on public meetings on roadways, there was some minor friction.

  • When Lokesh was speaking to padyatra attendees at NTR Crossroads in NR Peta, the incident happened.

11-YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) rebel MLA Kotam Sridhar Reddy has filed a complaint with the Union Home Ministry regarding phone tapping.

  • The MLA from Nellore Rural seat announced on Wednesday that he had filed a letter to the Union Home Ministry, requesting an investigation, after raising a banner of revolt against the party with the claim of phone tapping.

12 Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, was mocked by actor-politician Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday for the state’s increasing public debt and told him he should be given a “Appu Ratna” award.

  • Following news that the state government borrowed Rs. 55,555 crore in the first nine months of the current fiscal year, the leader of the Jana Sena Party (JSP) turned to Twitter to criticise the chief minister.

13- In the wee hours of Tuesday, unknown assailants set fire to the Guntur office of Borugadda Anil, president of the Republic Party of India’s Andhra Pradesh division.

  • Around 1.30 a.m., the criminals doused Anil’s office in gasoline and set it on fire. The fire entirely destroyed the office.

14-A tracker was killed by a herd of wild elephants in the Parvathipuram Manyam region of Andhra Pradesh, according to officials.

  • Lakshminarayan (26), who was attempting to keep tuskers out of a village, passed away instantly. On the boundaries of Pasikudi village in the Parvathipuram Manyam district, the tragedy happened on Monday night.

15-A week after Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy announced Visakhapatnam will serve as the state capital, administrators have started making plans to move Amaravati’s administrative centre to the port city.

  • The district government of Visakhapatnam is working hard to find suitable buildings, including one for the Chief Minister’s official residence.
