MP Government Aims to Bridge the Rural-Urban Divide with ‘Gramin Parivahan Seva’

Madhya Pradesh is gearing up to revolutionize rural transportation with the re-introduction of the ‘Gramin Parivahan Seva.’ This ambitious initiative aims to provide last-mile connectivity to remote areas, bridging the rural-urban divide.

The Madhya Pradesh government has received in-principle approval from the cabinet to revive the rural bus service. A comprehensive study is underway to develop a detailed plan for its implementation.

The Transport Department, Finance Department, Public Works Department, and Rural Development Department are working collaboratively to create a robust blueprint.

Chief Secretary Anurag Jain recently reviewed the progress of the project and issued crucial directives to expedite the process. The re-introduction of the ‘Gramin Parivahan Seva’ is a significant step towards improving rural connectivity and accessibility.

The revival of the ‘Gramin Parivahan Seva’ marks a significant milestone in Madhya Pradesh’s efforts to enhance rural transportation. This initiative will not only benefit rural residents but also boost economic growth and social development in the state.
